Miles Construction is your partner in excellence. We offer turn-key, one-stop-shop construction management.
Nevada Born
Miles Construction has deep roots in Nevada, starting with CEO/President Bill Miles, a Nevada native. Nevada is not just where we work but also where we live and raise our families. We’re invested in seeing our community succeed and believe in contributing to the region’s economic and environmental well-being.
The diversity of our projects can be found in your neighborhoods, where you work and in the heart of community redevelopment centers. We’ve worked on local elementary, middle and high schools; a multi-purpose athletic center; and fire stations that are critical to public safety. We’ve led the charge on several large-scale warehouses and manufacturing facilities at the booming Tahoe Reno Industrial Center as well as other areas of the state, including Douglas County, Carson Valley and more.
As an industry leader in sustainable or green building projects, our portfolio highlights the best of Northern Nevada. And just like other types of projects, sustainable construction faces constraints, whether it’s staying within a tight budget, navigating a fast-track timeline or adhering to historic regulations. Miles expertise in this area is focused on hitting your key must-haves so your final sustainable project is the visible display of your corporate philosophy.
In Minden, Nevada, Miles is proud to have a partnership with Bently Enterprises. In 2015, Miles completed a renovation of the historic Farmer’s Bank building into the Bently Enterprises headquarters office. Taking a building that’s more than 100 years old and converting it to a sustainable, Platinum LEED-certified building presented a worthy challenge to the Miles team, with the final outcome being a pinnacle of design and function.
Another focus Miles has is renovation and adaptive reuse – that is, creating a new, more relevant use for an existing space. Starting with Whitney Peak Hotel, Miles has become the go-to contractor for the revitalization projects within the downtown Reno corridor. Miles has systematically renovated the entire Whitney Peak building, making it one of Reno’s most popular and distinctive hotel properties. On the heels of that project, Miles lead the transformation of the Siena Hotel Spa to the Renaissance Reno, a Marriott property – another example of revitalization for the community.
Our advanced manufacturing projects have raised industry standards for efficient and effective design. The revolutionary Schluter Systems, a West Coast distribution center and training facility at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, was built to be eco-friendly and to meet the most stringent LEED Gold-certification standards. This project is a prime example of our mission to create sustainable, environmentally-friendly projects that make a better community for all of us.
And while Nevada is our home, our industry expertise has allowed us the opportunity to extend beyond our state to projects throughout the western United States.
