Multi-Purpose Athletic Center
The Multi-Use Athletic Center (MAC) project consists of approximately 33,000 SF of new construction on land adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club in Carson City. The project sits on approximately 10.6 acres and will improve outdoor functionality for the athletic center. This building houses a total of six multi-use courts, with four high school size cross courts and two collegiate size main courts. The facility incorporates fully retractable bleachers for spectators, as well as providing room for roll-away bleachers for special events. Additionally the gymnasium includes a 5,650 SF elevated running track with a rubberized track surface and four lanes. There is an elevator included in its design to allow ADA accessibility for the running track and stretching areas. There are full male and female locker rooms complete with lockers and benches. The MAC includes administration and public areas, with vending machines and restrooms. The building construction consists of masonry, steel, metal wall panels, membrane roofing, and high efficiency mechanical and lighting systems.
