The 180,000 SF concrete tilt wall expansion to the current facility has the distinction of being the largest industrial project in Lyon County since the onset of the recession.  Miles Construction completed the initial improvements to the facility 3 years prior and was called upon to return for the expansion.  As with most of our projects both phases were negotiated cost plus arrangements with Miles Construction taking the lead throughout the design and pre-construction phase.

The existing topography and proximity to the operational facility posed significant challenges.  Our knowledge and relationships provided unique sources in close proximity of the project for nearly 100,000 cubic yards of fill material reducing construction costs by over six figures.  Extensive communication and coordination with facilities personnel were critical in overcoming the lack of staging area and utility outages to minimize disruption to facility operations.
